Philosophy

We strive to take advantage of the teachable moments that happen every day to promote the
cognitive, emotional, and physical growth of our students. Through our approach that is guided
by teachers allows children to interact with their environment and learn by doing through
concrete, hands-on experiences and exploration.

Our mission is to foster the faith, curiosity, growth, and exploration of our students, families,
and community. We believe in developing a classroom-to-home bridge that encourages healthy
self-esteem and self-knowledge in the child’s many environments.

Our Preschool Schedule

Faith-based- Our environment is faith-based reinforced through stories, music, art, prayer
before meals, and an incorporation of Christian values through the general routine of our class
activities. Increased spiritual awareness is fostered with an emphasis on God’s love and care
for each of us.

Large Group- group activities involving class discussions, religion, pledge of allegiance,
songs and dancing, weather and calendar, sharing, and daily learning activities.

Small-Groups and Centers- these groups include activities such as math, literacy, history,
science/ STEM, art, sensory, dramatic play, fine motor, and large motor. Small groups vary
based on the age of children and their developmental level; this is where the learning happens.

Other learning opportunities- faith, self-care, health and nutrition, caring for animals,
communication, cooking, gardening, and household organization.

Developmental support- As the director, I have completed a degree in psychology as well as
early childhood education. With this specialized knowledge, I will conduct child assessments,
help in building child portfolios, provide class social and emotional lessons, and support
individuals with developmental delays.

Independence- Throughout the day children will practice independence. Children will learn
skills they will need to use throughout their lives. Children will learn table manners, table
setting for mealtimes, cooking, cleaning up after themselves, hygiene, and getting themselves
ready for going outside.

Special days- Throughout the year we will have planned special days, such as holiday
parties, dress-up week, and other fun days for the children.

About me

I am the teacher and director of Little Bloomers Learning Preschool. I was born and raised in Williamston and am so excited to serve the community in such a meaningful way, helping families during such a special time in their young child's life. In addition to the past 6 years working in licensed preschool facilities, 3 of which I was lead teacher for a private school preschool with class sizes ranging from 20-24 kids, I have also completed an associates degree in early childhood education and a bachelors degree in psychology. I have had a passion for working with children since a very young age, with this passion I have dreamed of opening my own preschool. Through opening my own preschool I strive to create an environment for children to socialize and form meaningful connections with one another through both peer and adult interactions throughout the day. With our small ratio and integrated theme based curriculum I believe your child will find a love for learning and create meaningful relationships that will last a lifetime. I look forward to working with you and your child!
